Bridgeport mill retrofit:

In 1998 I bought a Bridgeport from a machinist that I had been helping in his attempt at a 2-axis CNC retrofit. He was never quite satisfied with the machine's performance, and finally unloaded it on me! Happily, I added the third axis, and now have a 3-axis beast, capable of doing to metal what I have previously only been able to do to wood.
